To create a Prismapay account you need an invite code.
## Sign-up steps
1. Go to the sign-up screen. The invite code may already be filled in if you arrived through an invitation link.
2. Fill in:
- Invite code (required).
- Account type: Individual or Business.
- For a Business account: trade name / legal name.
- First name (for a business this is the "trade name"; for an individual, the given name).
- Last name (individual accounts only).
- Email address (must be unique — it cannot already be registered).
- Password: at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol. The screen shows a live meter for these requirements.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
3. When you submit the form:
- If the invite code does not exist or has already been used, an error is shown.
- The account is created, along with its own "personal team".
- For a Business account, a separate business team is also created, you become its Owner, and a KYB verification record is automatically started in pending status.
- The invite code you used moves to "activated" status.
4. After signing up, you must verify your email address. A verification link is emailed to you, and it can be resent from the app if it does not arrive.
> Important: once the account exists, the email address cannot normally be changed by the user. If you need to change your email, contact support.
