A transfer sends funds in cryptocurrency (USDC) from your wallet to an external bank account, settled over one of several international payment rails:
- ACH (standard US bank transfer)
- ACH Same Day
- Wire (international bank transfer)
- SEPA (euro transfers, European zone)
- SWIFT (requires approval and manual processing by the Prismapay team; it is not automated like the others)
Steps
1. Go to Transfers → New transfer.
2. Choose the source wallet (your own crypto wallet) and the destination bank account, which must already be registered and enabled.
3. Enter the amount and the transfer type/rail (ACH, ACH Same Day, Wire, SEPA, SWIFT).
4. The system calculates the fee — it varies with the amount and the chosen rail — and issues a quote valid for 30 minutes.
5. Write a description or reference for the payment (required field). The allowed format varies by rail, and the system validates it when the transfer is created.
6. The system checks that the amount does not exceed the available balance of the source wallet. The minimum amount is 0.01.
7. Depending on the amount, an internal approval workflow may be required before execution.
8. Once approved — or if no approval is needed — the transfer executes and moves to "In process" and then "Completed".
Fee added or deducted
A checkbox (addFee) decides whether the fee is added on top of the amount or deducted from it. If it is added on top, the system verifies that amount + fee does not exceed the balance. If it does, the message "The amount exceeds your source wallet balance." appears.
Cancelling a transfer
As long as the transfer has not completed, it can be cancelled from the transfers list.
Only external bank accounts in "Registered" status appear as destinations (for SWIFT, those already enabled manually by the team). If the account is still "Processing", you have to wait for it to finish registering with the payment provider.
