KYC for an individual account has 5 steps. Only the account Owner can complete it.
Step 1 — Personal information
- First names, last names, date of birth, country of nationality.
- ID document type (national ID card, passport, driver's license, military ID, permanent residence, state/provincial ID, visa).
- ID number and issuing country (both required).
- Document expiry date — OPTIONAL. If your document has no expiry date — for example, in Bolivia the national ID card of people over 60 is valid indefinitely, and some passports and documents never expire — leave this field blank. The app shows the hint "Déjalo en blanco si tu documento no tiene fecha de vencimiento (documento indefinido)." There is no need to invent a placeholder date.
- (Optional) Social Security Number — only requested if your nationality is US — and gender.
Note on the expiry date: if you do enter a date, it must be valid and no earlier than today (the picker only allows future dates). If your document never expires, just leave it empty and the verification submits normally — the system does not require it.
Step 2 — Address and contact
- Address (line 1 required, line 2 optional), postal code, country, region/state, city.
- Contact email and phone (both required).
Step 3 — Employment information
- Employment status (employed, retired, self-employed, student, unemployed).
- Job title/position and occupation (from a catalogue).
- Estimated monthly income range in USD.
- Account purpose (purchase of goods/services, donations, personal expenses, running a company, e-commerce, payments to family abroad, investments, freelance work, salary, wealth protection, other).
- Source of funds (company funds, e-commerce resale, gambling, gifts, government benefits, inheritance, investments/loans, retirement, salary, sale of assets/property, savings, third-party funds).
Step 4 — PEP declaration (Politically Exposed Person)
- You are asked whether you are a PEP, are associated with one, or have no such relationship.
- If it applies, additional details are requested: type of relationship, position/role, institution, country, start date (and end date, if relevant).
Step 5 — Documents
- ID document (front) — required.
- ID document (back) — required, except when the chosen document is a passport.
- Selfie holding your ID document — required.
- Proof of address.
Formats, size limits and replacement rules are covered in the documents article.
