Sender details on the certificate

A transfer's certificate carries a sender block: who sent the money. It is filled from your account details, but you can adjust it before the certificate is issued — for instance so it shows the exact legal name, the tax ID or the address your counterparty needs to see.

The fields

- Sender name (required, up to 150 characters).
- Contact person's name.
- Email address.
- Address (line 1 and line 2).
- ID / tax number (CI / NIT).
- Country.
- Phone, with its dialling prefix.

Every field except the name is optional. Whatever you leave blank is filled from the details already on your account.

How long it stays editable

Only while the certificate has not been generated. Once it is issued, the sender details are frozen inside the certificate, and the app answers: "The certificate has already been generated and its sender data can no longer be changed."

That is deliberate: a certificate that can be rewritten after it has been handed over is no use as evidence. If something needs changing afterwards, the Prismapay team has to do it.

Recommendation

Check the sender block before downloading or sharing a transfer's first certificate, especially if you operate as a company and the name shown by default is not the legal name your counterparty knows you by.
