How verification works

A complete guide to Prismapay’s identity verification process: eligibility rules for account owners, draft auto-saving, partner terms, compliance review steps, and how post-approval data updates are handled.

Before you can operate at full capacity (international transfers, deposits and withdrawals through international bank accounts, and so on), your account must go through identity verification:

- KYC (Know Your Customer): for individual accounts (natural persons).
- KYB (Know Your Business): for business accounts.

Who can complete it

Only the account owner (the team Owner for Company accounts) can start and complete KYC/KYB. If another team member (Admin, Approver, Generator, etc.) tries to open these screens, the system blocks them with the message "Only the team owner can access this section."

The rest of the team is covered by the verification the Owner completed.

Automatic saving

Your data is saved automatically as a draft as you move between steps, so you do not have to finish everything in one sitting. Required fields are only enforced when you press "Submit" / "Finish" on the last step.

What happens when you submit

Our compliance system execute an internal verification process and connect you in some cases with a partner, which may require you to accept additional Terms of Service (shown embedded inside the app). Once accepted, the process moves to "Under review", waiting for Prismapay's compliance team to confirm approval. It is not a fully automatic process.

After approval

Once KYC/KYB is approved, the form is locked completely: you cannot edit data or re-upload documents. The message shown is "Su KYC/KYB ya ha sido aprobado y no puede ser editado." Any change after that must be handled by support.
